Q. I need my portrait completed by a set date.
A. Pet portraits can take 1-3 weeks to complete depending on the medium, size and how many pets are included. Please get in contact with me asap about a completion date. Please note that at peak times, I cannot guarantee this timeframe, I always work on a first come first served basis.
Q. I’m not sure which style I want!
A. Don’t panic, just pop me a message and we can discuss through the different types.
Q. I would like my portrait mounted or framed
A. I have mounts that will fit A5, 6″x8″, A4 and A3 as standard and the price can be provided upon request. I also do offer a framing service. Full costs can be seen here.
Q. I’m not sure my photos are good enough quality.
A. I can generally work with most images, however, I can only complete a detailed watercolour portrait if the images are clear as I want your portrait to look like your pet, not a generic pet!
Q. I would like to gift a portrait but I don’t have any photos of the recipients pet.
A. I do offer gift cards for my portraits. You can see more information here.
Q. Am I allowed to make my own prints of the portrait?
A. No, as the artist, I retain all copyright to the artwork. I also offer prints as an add on here.
Q. I don’t want you to share the portrait on your website or social media.
A. I must be notified of this prior to starting the portrait.
Q. I don’t want to pay a deposit.
A. Unfortunately, I am unable to start on a portrait until I receive the 50% deposit (or full payment if under £20). I will also require final payment before the portrait is sent to you. If you decide to cancel your order after paying the deposit, I will keep the artwork at the stage of completion it is at, and the money is retained to cover materials and my time.
Q. I don’t like my pet portrait.
A. I will send you progress shots of your portrait throughout the process. If you notice something about it that you don’t like, I need to know immediately. Once you have made the final payment I will not accept any changes as you accept at the point of purchase that you are happy with the artwork.
Q. What if my order gets lost in transit.
A. If you haven’t received your order a couple of days after I confirm this has been dispatched, please let me know asap. I send all orders with Royal Mail and will abide by their policies regarding late parcels.
Q. My portrait arrived damaged.
A. Please contact me immediately if your parcel arrives damaged. I will require images of the packaging and damaged items inside and time to take this up with Royal Mail.
